Version dated 4 November 2026.
You can ask us to delete your Bengala account at any time. Here is how, and what data is deleted.
1. How to ask
- Email support@bengala.tv from your account’s email address, with the subject ‘Delete my account’.
- We will confirm by email that it has been deleted, within one month at most.
You don’t need to have the app installed. If you can no longer use that address, write to us from another one and we will tell you how to show that the account is yours.
2. What is deleted
- Your account and your email address.
- Your licences and the devices activated with them. A deleted licence cannot be recovered or moved to another account.
- Your sync document and its earlier versions.
If you have a subscription paid through Stripe (from the QR code on the TV), we cancel its renewal when we delete the account. If you bought it on Google Play, cancel it on Google Play. Deleting the account does not refund anything you have already paid.
3. What is kept
- Sales data (invoices, amounts and dates), for as long as the law requires: up to six years.
- Free trial data (the transformed identifier of each device and the date its trial began), so that each device only gets one trial.
- Whatever Stripe and Google Play keep about your payments, under their own policies.
4. What is on your devices
Your lists, history, profiles and settings are stored on each device, not on our servers: they are deleted when you uninstall the app.
